New Patients
Your first visit is about understanding the whole picture
By the time many people come to us, they have been putting up with something for longer than they
intended. You may know exactly what you want help with, or you may simply know that your body is not
coping as well as it used to. Both are good reasons to start a conversation.
Before you arrive
You will be asked to complete your new-patient paperwork before your appointment. This gives your
chiropractor time to understand the basics and means more of your appointment can be spent talking
about the details that matter.
Your first appointment
We begin with a detailed conversation about your current concern, health history, lifestyle and goals.
Your chiropractor will then carry out an examination tailored to you. This may include spinal, postural,
movement, balance, coordination, neurological or functional testing. X-rays may be recommended when
clinically indicated and can be taken on site.
A full new-patient appointment is approximately 60 minutes. We protect this time because a thorough beginning matters.

Your report of findings & recommendations
Once we have reviewed the information, we explain what we found in plain language. We connect the
findings to your concerns and goals, discuss whether chiropractic care is appropriate and outline our
recommendation. This is also your opportunity to ask questions and decide whether you want to
proceed.
When will I be adjusted?
In most cases, the first adjustment takes place after your findings have been reviewed and discussed.
Occasionally it may be clinically appropriate to begin care at the initial visit. Your chiropractor will explain
the options and ask for your consent
