The Blaze! Project
Functional Nutrition with Dr Louise Blair
It brings together functional nutrition, practical health education and targeted testing when it is genuinely useful, helping you understand what your body may need to function better.
Why this work matters to me
I have spent more than 25 years helping people understand their bodies differently. Chiropractic taught me to respect the intelligence of the body and its extraordinary capacity to adapt, but it also became increasingly clear to me that an adjustment cannot supply the nutrients a depleted body does not have.
Our bodies are continually rebuilding, regulating and responding. To do that well, they need the right ingredients. Food is not simply calories or something to control. It is information, nourishment and the raw material from which we make hormones, neurotransmitters, energy and healthy tissue.
The Blaze Project grew from my frustration at seeing capable, high-achieving people, particularly women, treated as though they were broken when so many were exhausted, undernourished, overstretched and trying to function on an empty tank.
I do not believe we should settle for merely getting through the day. We deserve to feel strong, clear, energetic and fully alive.

Nourishment rather than perfection
Functional nutrition looks at the relationship between what you eat, what your body needs and how well it is functioning.
This is not about handing you a perfect meal plan or giving you another long list of foods to avoid. It is about identifying the patterns that may be influencing how you feel and finding practical ways to give your body more of what it needs.
We may look at nourishment, energy, digestion, sleep, stress, hormones, movement and recovery. These do not operate in isolation. They continually affect one another, which is why changing one part of the picture can sometimes influence much more than expected.
Start with the Thrive 9
They can help you identify patterns in your energy, nourishment, sleep, stress, hormones, movement and recovery, and show you where your most useful starting point may be.
Testing when it adds useful clarity
Sometimes functional testing can help us look more deeply, make your plan more specific or understand why progress has stalled. Testing is not the answer by itself. It is a tool we use when the
information is likely to change what we do. Testing available through the Blaze Project may include:
You do not need to know what you need
You do not need to arrive knowing whether you need hormone testing, microbiome testing, DNA insights or no testing at all.
We begin with your story, your goals and the foundations of your health. From there, I will help you decide what level of support is appropriate and whether further testing would genuinely change what we do.
The first step may be completing the Thrive 9, beginning with foundational nutrition and lifestyle changes, or having a more personal conversation about what has been happening.
Your body is not broken. It may be depleted, overstretched or missing some of the ingredients it needs to function at its best. The purpose of this work is to understand what it is asking for and help you rebuild from the inside out.
