Your first visit is about understanding the whole picture<\/h2>\n
By the time many people come to us, they have been putting up with something for longer than they
\nintended. You may know exactly what you want help with, or you may simply know that your body is not
\ncoping as well as it used to. Both are good reasons to start a conversation.<\/div>\n

Before you arrive<\/div>\n
\nYou will be asked to complete your new-patient paperwork before your appointment. This gives your
\nchiropractor time to understand the basics and means more of your appointment can be spent talking
\nabout the details that matter.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Your first appointment<\/div>\n
\nWe begin with a detailed conversation about your current concern, health history, lifestyle and goals.
\nYour chiropractor will then carry out an examination tailored to you. This may include spinal, postural,
\nmovement, balance, coordination, neurological or functional testing. X-rays may be recommended when
\nclinically indicated and can be taken on site.<\/p>\n

A full new-patient appointment is approximately 60 minutes. We protect this time because a thorough
\nbeginning matters.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Your report of findings & recommendations<\/div>\n
\nOnce we have reviewed the information, we explain what we found in plain language. We connect the
\nfindings to your concerns and goals, discuss whether chiropractic care is appropriate and outline our
\nrecommendation. This is also your opportunity to ask questions and decide whether you want to
\nproceed.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

When will I be adjusted?<\/div>\n
\nIn most cases, the first adjustment takes place after your findings have been reviewed and discussed.
\nOccasionally it may be clinically appropriate to begin care at the initial visit. Your chiropractor will explain
\nthe options and ask for your consent<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

You stay in control<\/h2>\n

\nWe will give you our best recommendation and explain the reasoning behind it. You are free to ask
\nquestions, take time to think and decide what is right for you. There is no judgment and no pressure.<\/h4>\n
